Open Letter to Bank of America about browsers and online banking

Dear Bank of America,

I noticed that your site says I am using an unsupported browser and you want me to upgrade to Safari or Chrome.

Let's be very clear about something. I am thankful and appreciative of both Apple and Google. However, I try to manage what is known about me as I make my way in the world, perhaps you have heard of the competing interests in privacy.

So if it comes down to it, I will upgrade, to another bank.

Unsolicited email

This morning I noticed there was more email in my inbox than usual and a lot of it seemed to come out of the blue, it was about things I am not interested in. So, I tried the unsubscribe. They all had the same form, and you have to click something in order to complete the unsubscribe. This made me wonder if they were all using the same bulk email service, so I did a search and there are plenty of them. Many people wonder if unsubscribe is a good idea at all. There are many links about this, Sophos is reputable . They suggest marking the email as spam, (if you are using mac mail, I think that is the move to junk command). That is what I will start doing today.
